College Baseball: Cody Brown, University of Nebraska at Omaha

Cody Brown went 1 for 3 with one RBI and scored a run in University of Nebraska at Omaha's 10-7 loss at UNLV on Thursday. Brown graduated from Tabb High School in 2009.

Brown is a 2009 graduate of Tabb High School, where he lettered in baseball, cross county and indoor track and field. On the baseball diamond, he was a four-year letter earner going 13-2 on the mound as a senior (2009) to earn all-district, all-region and all-state honors. He was all-district and all-region in 2008 as a junior. He played in the Senior League World Series in 2006. Brown also was chosen for the Virginia State Underclassmen Commonwealth Games as a sophomore and junior, and he also played in the state east vs. west all-star game. He was a two-time member of the all-state indoor track and field 4 X 200 relay team. Born April 6, 1990 the son of Mike and Kathy Brown, he is majoring in chemistry at Nebraska-Omaha. He is from Yorktown.
