York County proposes tax rate increase for 2013

York County Administrator James O. McReynolds has proposed a real property tax increase for the 2013 fiscal year budget. 

The new rate is $0.775 per $100 of assessed value; an increase of $0.1175 over the current tax rate. 

A public hearing on the budget will be held at 7 pm. March 22 at York Hall, 301 Main St., Yorktown.
