Harlow guides incoming transfer students at Virginia Tech

Stacey Harlow, of Yorktown, served as a transfer orientation guide during the summer for Virginia Tech's incoming class of transfer students.

Harlow, a Virginia Tech junior majoring in political science, joined several transfer orientation staff members in the program who had been transfer students themselves, according to a Virginia Tech press release.

During the orientation, transfer students engaged in conversations with these guides and other transfer students regarding campus life, academic success and information on the fall semester.

The Division of Student Affairs' office established the orientation to help students from other institutions feel welcomed at Virginia Tech from the first time they step on campus, according to the release.

The Division of Student Affairs encompasses the dean's office and all departments dedicated to providing essential student services.
