York County Parks and Recreation events, March 27-April 19

The York County Parks and Recreation released the following events schedule for Wednesday, March 27, to Friday, April 19:

• On Wednesday, March 27 at 1 p.m. there will be an English Tea event. According to a press release, "You are cordially invited to an afternoon tea with us. Norah Steele will give the history of etiquette, English china, and teas detailing the difference between afternoon and high teas. Light refreshments will be provided."

• On Friday, March 29 at 1 p.m. there will be a March Birthday Bash. According to a press release, "Entertainer Mr. Durfee will play keyboards, banjo and have a sing-a-long. Broadway tunes and songs of the 50's and 60's will be featured."

• On Friday, April 19 at 9 a.m. the annual Senior Health and Safety Fair will take place. According to a press release, "Free health screenings will include cholesterol, blood pressure, weight and height screenings, and a diabetes risk assessment provided by Sentara Community Health and Prevention. The York Lion's Club will offer free vision and hearing screenings and the Orthopaedic & Spine Center will provide bone density screenings."

The York County Parks and Recreation is at 100 County Drive, Yorktown.
